Hi, I’m Peter Ryan, Principal Analyst at Ryan Strategic Advisory. Now, we are a full-service market research and advisory firm that is based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Our focus is around customer experience management and business process outsourcing.

One of the things that I want to talk to you about today is Cape Town, and Cape Town from the perspective of being a destination in which people like to visit. And dandy to talk a little bit about all sorts of different places around the world about being great for business, being great for CX, but when it comes down to it, after 5 PM or on the weekends, over an extended period, you’ve got to have things that you want to be able to do.

Something I have found in my various visits to Cape Town is the fact that it’s a multi-dimensional city that’s got an international flair, it’s multicultural, and there’s all sorts of leisure activities that can be undertaken. Something that I really have found is a standout for the city is the fact that within a 10-15 minute drive of my hotel, I’m able to get to winelands, I’m able to get to the beach, I can get to the top of Table Mountain, which is one of the most fantastic places I have ever been to in my life.

And don’t just take my word for it, take it from the word of anybody that has visited Cape Town either as a leisure traveler or as a business traveler. You go into stores, you go into restaurants, you go into pubs all around the city, and you hear different languages, and not just African languages but you hear not just English, you’ll hear Italian, you’ll hear French, you’ll hear German. It’s a cosmopolitan city like no other.

You know, I heard somebody say not long ago that there are three cities that immediately strike you in terms of their aesthetic beauty and their dynamism: one is Sydney, Australia, one is San Francisco, one is Cape Town. And I can’t help but agree with that, having visited all three places. Cape Town truly isn’t in a class of its own. There’s so much to do, there’s so much to see, and there’s such a level of friendliness on the ground that any business traveler that’s looking to try and take advantage of the different elements that they can find on the ground in Cape Town when they’re visiting their contact center partner, when they’re going to see how the contact center partner is delivering CX with their agents, with the mid-tier management as well as the executives, they’re immediately going to fall in love with the city.

It’s one of the reasons why Cape Town stands out as the premier destination, more than likely all across Africa for customer experience management.
