I have huge emotion when I land in Cape Town; it’s just my favorite place, a home away from home for me. When I land in Cape Town, there’s a genuine excitement about seeing our operation and our people. There’s no place in the world like it. Right? You can stand on a mountaintop one minute and play with penguins the next.

What I love most about Cape Town is the people. One thing about us is that we’re a very warm and loving nation. I don’t think there’s a person that sets foot in Cape Town and the first comment isn’t, “It was so welcoming.” What’s important to us is connecting with people from different countries—great cultural alignment to the UK, the US, and Australia.

Cape Town has a unique way of displaying itself through our culture, our natural way of how we can deal with empathy. The people in Cape Town are very family-oriented, they’re very empathetic, they’re resilient. There’s just such a sense of community within Cape Town, which I think is unmatched.

We’ve got this tribe, or almost a community feeling, where everybody looks out for everyone. I think this comes down to communities being disadvantaged through the apartheid struggle, and people really having to rely and depend on each other. The ability to protect each other, to protect someone else like you would protect yourself, it’s that sense of community.

The thing about Cape Town is that there’s such a vast array of different cultures and people from different walks of life. It’s the opportunity to have different schools of thought, people from different backgrounds coming together, sharing an opinion, sharing a relatable life story because it’s a lived experience.

And that’s the difference. That sense of community just links so well with our culture as a business and the culture of our clients. And so, all of that comes together with this real investment of investment, and it’s just culminating in probably the best place to service clients from in the world. They bring passion, they bring drive, they bring commitment to it. That’s the Cape Town power; that’s the Cape Town difference.
