Customer experience in financial services

Deep expertise in the financial services sector
Helping financial organisations deliver excellent customer experience no matter what challenges the sector is facing.

In partnership with the financial services sector

With many businesses growing and recruiting, and following the rise in remote working, employees in the financial services industry are not restricted by location. This makes it easier to find a job, get a competitive salary and, ultimately, move jobs.

At Sigma Connected, we have experts in contact centre solutions in the financial services sector, and our outsourcing services can provide your organisation with the skilled extra resources you need. We specialise in customer services, collections, complaint management and problem debt engagement.

As an FCA authorised firm, our financial services clients take comfort from the fact that we share the same appreciation of what it means to be a regulated firm and are reassured that we will exercise the same due skill, care and diligence in our business as they do in theirs. As a client, this gives you an unmatched guarantee of our commitment to treating your customers fairly, avoiding foreseeable harm and acting in good faith to ensure great outcomes.

Helping motor finance companies stay on track

Helping motor finance companies stay on track

Following the Supreme Court’s long-awaited judgement on vehicle finance complaints on 1st August 2025, Discretionary Commission Arrangements (DCAs) are now firmly back in the spotlight.

The FCA has said it will consult on setting up a compensation scheme for eligible car finance (DCA) customers and we expect that consultation be published by early October.

Once the FCA’s consultation is finished and their decision made, you may have weeks – not months – to act before changes hit in 2026. The winners will be those who prepare now.

At Sigma Connected, we help motor finance providers navigate regulatory change without missing a beat. As an FCA-authorised firm, we combine deep sector expertise with agile operational delivery, including financial services customer support outsourcing, to protect your business

We’ll help you:

  • Absorb sudden complaint surges with ready-to-deploy onshore and/or offshore teams.
  • Stay 100% compliant with structured, auditable processes that satisfy the FCA.
  • Run remediation programmes from design to delivery.
  • Close operational gaps fast with targeted risk and control assessments.
  • Protect your brand with empathetic, expert front-line teams.
Financial services

Don’t wait for October. By then it might be too late to prepare.

We’re already working with leading motor finance providers to prepare for potential redress scenarios and ensure they get it right first time, for their customers and their business.

Hybrid operational delivery model Hybrid operational delivery model

There is shared infrastructure and seamless collaboration between our customer service teams in the UK and South Africa. This blended approach results in reduced costs, and we pass these savings on to you. In the financial services sector, which requires VAT to be paid on third-party services, these cost savings can make a real difference for you and your company.

Our services to the financial services sector Our services to the financial services sector

We offer a joined-up approach to customer conversations across all channels, delivering a high-quality customer service.

We can take on as much or as little of your collections process as you need. We can also look after your credit card or unsecured loan portfolio, vehicle finance, insurance premium finance or mortgages.

We have the expertise to handle complaints early, before they escalate, to support your customer retention strategy.

Our specialist unique service, ReachOut, helps when you are unable to contact your customers with debts. Sensitive and proactive, our approach engages with your customers, builds trust, advises them of the support available to them and improves outcomes for all parties.

Our expert fraud teams safeguard financial trust, combining expertise with genuine care and understanding in every interaction. Whether resolving fraud disputes or handling lost or stolen card cases, we take a personal approach, aware of the real-life impact of financial uncertainty.

We handle:

Fraud disputes

When your customers report unauthorised transactions, our team steps in to investigate, taking on cases referred by the frontline team. We manage the process end-to-end, working to determine the validity of each claim and to ensure a timely resolution.

Section 75

Following a fraud dispute, our team handles chargebacks and refunds under Section 75, providing customers with rightful compensation for qualifying claims. Our expertise ensures that customers receive a fair outcome while complying with financial regulations.

Preventions

Focused on early detection, our prevention team monitors accounts for unusual activity, alerting customers when suspicious transactions appear. That way we help reduce risk and keep accounts secure.

3rd party fraud

For customers who haven’t received their purchases, our team handles ‘goods not received’ claims. We assess each case, working with third parties to address customer concerns and pursue resolutions where possible.

Fraud recoveries

We pursue funds on behalf of customers who have been victims of financial crime. We also take action to halt unauthorised debit transactions, helping protect customers’ finances.

Lost & stolen

Our dedicated, round-the-clock team handles lost and stolen card reports outside standard business hours. Available 24/7, we act quickly to lock accounts and minimise the impact of lost or stolen cards.
