Celebrating Growth – Terry Poole

The next Sigma Connected colleague to come under the spotlight in our Celebrating Growth series is Terry Poole, currently a system support administrator for our award-winning ReachOut initiative.

Based within our UK team, Terry’s Sigma journey started in November 2020 when he joined as an energy specialist on a large energy campaign, supporting customers on a variety of issues and queries. Within months, after his senior manager spotting his drive and potential, Terry was promoted into a training role where he helped induct new starters recruited to work on the same energy campaign. Whilst he was working within the energy campaign he supported the South African team which comprised around 90 FTE at the time. He also managed complaints, ensuring they were dealt with quickly and effectively and that customers were satisfied with the outcomes.

From here, in April 2022, Terry moved from his energy specialist role to become a system support administrator in the Data team within our McLaren Credit Services division, Terry was responsible managing data as well as managing the dialler for the outbound team to be able to contact the customers to help with their financial situations. Five months later, he became part of our award-winning ReachOut team, also as a system support administrator on the data side, where he is responsible for creating business process documents that could be viewed by the clients. He was also responsible for making sure that the client data would be uploaded to the CRM in a timely manner and supporting the agents with any issues that may occur within the CRM such as password resets & the CRM crashing.

Not one to stand still in his career Terry is about to start another new role as an IT service Desk Operative on our busy IT Service Desk. He will be on the IT front line supporting work from home colleagues and those in the call centre in Birmingham with all their IT challenges

Terry said: “For me, working at Sigma Connected has opened up a variety of opportunities in the near three years I have been here.

“I’ve worked through customer service and team support roles which I have enjoyed as they have also helped me develop and grow personally. Without a doubt, the support I’ve received from my line managers has been vital as it has created so many opportunities for me. I count myself very lucky to be working with such supportive people, in a company which really wants you to succeed.

“I am now really looking forward to the next 12 months and starting my journey in our IT department. It will allow me to support the whole of Sigma and help my colleagues to achieve their goals. It’s a big moment for me in my career and I feel very lucky Sigma saw something in me and offered me the chance to grow my career. I hope to stay here for many years to come.”
